In 2018, AMAZING VACATIONS COSTA RICA was created to help a few expert river guides in Costa Rica create their own tour company. Costa Rica continues to be a top travel destination. Our headquarters in Turrialba, is one of the most beautiful and diverse areas for travel. However there is no facility with the ability to handle groups of more than 25 people. It has become increasingly difficult for our team to find quality hotels especially when it comes to serving larger groups. After nearly two years of research, meetings with consultants, dozens of spreadsheets and sustainability studies, we have decided to build a 50+ room jungle resort near THREE World class whitewater rafting rivers. This special location is also within 20 minutes of the largest archeological site in Costa Rica, and within viewing distance of the beautiful Turrialba Volcano.

WHAT IS A FOUNDING FAMILY MEMBER?
Our team has an outstanding track record and there is a significant market need for a larger hotel/resort in Turrialba.
Getting a loan from a bank in Costa Rica presents a variety of challenges including interest. We visited 7 banks to better understand our options. After many conversations we were discouraged to learn that a best case scenario would result in 9+ months of decision making from the bank and if we were lucky enough to be approved for a 10 Year loan interest rates could range from 16-24%. This would mean that if we had a $1 million loan, we would pay much more than $1 million in interest, making the project nearly impossible!

Q: How Long will the hotel take to build and when do you anticipate opening?
Our team has been working on this project since February of 2023. We've identified the land and it is AMAZING! As of December 2023 our team was in the final stages of working with attorneys to complete real estate purchases and finalizing due diligence, planning and cost estimates.
UPDATE May 2024: As of May 2024 our team has been working with the municipality to finalize zoning approval for the hotel. We are hoping to have all zoning approved and the final real estate transaction to be completed by the end of June 2024. We have received positive feedback from all government and local groups who have been included in the planning thus far.
As soon as zoning receives final approval, we will be moving as quickly as possible to begin work with engineers and begin planning utilities and infrastructure around the project.
Our team, along with attorneys and our architect having been working for several months and have visited the site with our consultant who has more than major 50 hotel/resort projects that he has helped make happen during his career. According to our architect, we expect that phase 1 of the construction process to take approximately 8-14 months to complete once we break ground. We expect to have Phase 1 and 2 completed within approximately 18 months of breaking ground. Founding Family members will receive frequent updates via email with pictures, videos and other progress as it happens.
Q: Are there investors involved in building the resort? Is this a crowd-funding project?
This is not a crowd-funding project. There are multiple private investors involved in funding and financing the resort. The resort will be financed by investors, and we have additional investor options to build later phases of the projects. Crowd funding projects typically require a goal to be met before a project moves forward and the project depends on receiving financing from their "crowd". If a founding family member is interested in being more involved in the project at an investor level, they are welcome to reach out to our team to find out if there might still be opportunities to join the project.
Our resort and project will be built with or without Founding Family members. By providing this amazing offer to potential founding family members, it allows us to pre-fill and pre-schedule future trips to the resort and better plan for numbers of guests once the resort opens. Founding family members funds may be applied to some costs of the building the resort, but the reason we are doing this offer is to help us market, promote and increase our occupancy once we are open.

Once the resort opens, in the event you decide you DO NOT want to visit the resort after it is opened, you can opt to receive a $400 trip credit toward a trip planned and booked through Amazing Vacations Costa Rica within Costa Rica. If you decide you'd rather not be a founding family member after you join, you can request a full refund within 60 days of purchase of your membership.

Several of our team members grew up playing in the surrounding canyons of the property. Turrialba is one of the primary reasons so many people come back over and over again to this beautiful place.
During our November 2023 final scouting trip, our consultant when asked about the location and potential of the project rated it a 10 out of 10 and said that this was quite possibly the most exciting project he has ever seen and had the opportunity to be part of. Q: How Long will I have to redeem and use my Founding Family Member Visit?
You'll be able to come and visit us and use your FREE 4 day 3 Night stay as soon as we have our grand opening. We expect to be able to do a soft opening in 2025 and a full grand opening by the end of 2025.
